Hi,
I will be arriving at taipeh airport on the 21 Dec.2006 at ard 7.45 pm I plan to try to take the high speed train to kaohsiung. Can i know the time table? How to buy ticket and how much it cost? Where do i need to go to catch the high speed train? How can i get the timetable for the bus and other types of train to kaohsiung? Tq. lim |

I will also be going to Taiwan and am seeking information regarding the high speed train. My posting is just below yours. I have not received any replies yet either and would appreciate it if you get any information if you could foward it to me and I will do likewise. I have googled and still cannot find anything current. I believe it is operating as I receive an astronomical quote from a local Taiwanese travel agency to use the high speed train for a tour. I just got off the phone with a Hotel I was booking for my trip to Kaoshiung and I asked them about the high speed train. Unfortunately it is not yet running. It is expected now to be up and running sometime in January but as the agent in Taiwan told me - Don't hold your breath! Good luck and safe trip. Wayne
