Hi there

This site is really filled with info and I don't know where to start. Some questions for the experienced travellers:

1. Larkin Terminal seems to be the name that keeps coming up.
Our plans is to travel from Singapore to Johor by cab and spend morning and lunch time in Johor.
Would there be coach services available in Larkin around 3ish in the afternoon?
Is it buses or slight more comfortable coaches with air conditioning?

2. Does anyone know the charges for those services?

3. How long is the journey from Larkin to Melaka?

4. Any recommendation for what coach companies to take in terms of comfort?

5. Any recommendation on 3rd party web sites to book hotels in Melaka? We are interested to book Renaissance Melaka.

Hi There,

1. Not to worry there are quite a number of buses going to Malacca from Larkin around 3pm++ or 4pm++. The coaches are comfortable with air conditioning.

2. It cost less than RM$15 one way to Malacca.

3. The journey from Larkin to Malacca Bus Terminal is about 3 hrs ride.

4. There are quite a number of coaches of the same standard from Larkin to Malacca, but it will be good to stay with Malaysia's "national" coach - Transnasional. I'm quite sure that there is a 3 pm and 4 pm bus to Malacca. But please call Transnasional counter at Larkin Counter to check the departure time:

Thanks for your help.

Can anyone advise on similar hotels like Renaissance or Equatorial? It seems like the bookings for 8-10 Dec are fully booked! Now I'm in trouble as I need to secure a 4-5 star room for us.

Any suggestions?
