hi guys, i need your help. are there any busses from Nong Khai direct to Chiang Mai? How's the frequency of the trip and how much does it cost?
I will be from vientiane on late December and plans to go buy bus to chiang mai via nong khai. Any advice with regards to my route? Thanks benj |

I dont think there's any bus ride directly from Nongkai to Chiang Mai, you probably have to transfer at Udon Thani. There are many buses ride daily from Nongkai to Udon Thani .
There is some buses from Udon Thani to Chiang Mai, usually ride during the night, as I remember, buses leave Udon around evening time, 6 pm - 7 pm and reach Chiangmai in the next day mornning. Also there are flights from Udon to Chiang Mai by Nokair, lowcost airline, take only 1.30 hr.
