Drive from Nanaimo to Tofino in Winter

Hi All,

I plan to drive to Tofino from Nanaimo in the first weekend of December (ahem..thats comin weekend !). I was wondering how safe it is to drive all the way for 3 long hours. With the snow, is it dangerous ? Also is there a risk of cougars or anythng else ?
