Hi
I read your comment on windy conditions near the Bolonia beaches. What time of the year were you there ? Is July like that also ? Does it affect the Atlantic side of the coast more than the mediterranean side ? thanks, Philippe San Francisco USA |

Never knew there was a Bolonia Forum ! For such a small place ! ANyway the famous wind that blows through the Straits of Gibraltar or El Estrecho can really blow strong but when it doesn't then it's great ! So next question - is it windy in July ? Well the easterly wind is called the LEVANTE (easterly) and tjhe one that blows from the Atlantic is the PONIENTE (westerly) --- you can read about it on various web sites like: http://tarifa.costasur.com/en/wind.html
That's based at Tarifa just a few miles down the coast. So I think that in July it will be great beach weather at Bolonia. And there is the shelter of the hills around as well as the roman amphitheatre !
