Has anyone gone to Antarctica on the Sarpik Ittuk this November? We are taking this trip at the end of the year...just looking for some firsthand experience with this cruise/boat. Thanks!

Yes, I had! I went on November, 7th, and it was great! Just be prepared for the sea sickness. And because of the weather, some landings can not be done. But this is part of the trip. You will never know what is going to happen. It is a wonderful place. I had never been on a boat before, and I enjoyed Sarpik very much.
What would you like to know?

Hi CarinCristy - i am traveling on the Sarpik Ittuk in January, and would love to hear your impressions of the ship. A few questions if you wouldn't mind:
Are there electrical outlets in the cabins to charge cameras? 220v i assume?
How were the boots? Or did you bring your own?
Anything that you didn't have with you that you wish you had taken?
Thanks in advance for you time.

I just read your answer now. I'm sorry about that. ANswers to your questions:
a) Yes, there are electrical outlets. I'm not sure about the voltage because my camera is not digital. but almost everyone had a digital camera in this trip and nobody had problems with that. It is important to have with you an extra batery / memory for your landings. The batery goes down very fast because of the cold weather.
b) Don't worry about the boots. They land them. you keep them with you until the end of the trip. It is important to have a good pair of socks.
c) Tips: it is very important to have some medicine for sea sickness!!! Don't forget about that!
Have a very nice trip!
