Good idea to use the route planner. In brief, Heathrow is easiest then Gatwick. Both prone to traffic congestion on the M4/M25 though. Luton and Stansted quite complex journeys, as they involve cross-country routes and the M25.

If you are thinking of choosing your airport based on ease of travel to Reading, then the order is: Heathrow, Gatwick, Luton, Stansted. Personally, I'd get the train from all of them to Reading, and hire a car from there; none are particularly pleasant journeys and all are prone to heavy traffic & consequent delays.

# Airport Name:London - Heathrow LHR - distance 30 Miles
# Airport Name:London - Gatwick LGW - distance 70 Miles
# Airport Name:London - Luton LTN - distance 70 Miles
Stansted is even further away from Reading than Luton, and in addition, Luton and Stansted are on the other side of London, i.e. you have to go into the city, across it, and out again to get there.
The Reading-Heathrow "RailAir Link Coach" takes about 45 minutes (I think it is now entirely by road). Trains to Gatwick take about 1 1/2 hours and are operated by First Great Western (FGW).
