Hi, need some clarifications from those who are familiar in Hat Yai..
1. Can I get shared van directly from HatYai Airport to Penang? What is the cost? 2. If not, any bus service from HatYai Airport to HatYai town area? 3. If not, what is the price taking tuk-tuk from the airport to town area? 4. Where can I get shared van from HatYai town area to Penang? What is the price? I took van from Penang to Hat Yai before and it cost me RM23 only. Can I get similar price from Hat Yai? Hope someone can help me on these question :> tham |

I'm not exactly sure but will try my best to help.
1. Yes, there're van operate from Hat Yai to Penang, Ive heard about it couple days ago. you might have to take the van from the airport to Hay Yai town there the bus station is. 2. Of course... 3.no. don't take it. the van to the city is much better choice. 4.Umm, i don't know the answer for this question but i think you can ask the van that take you from the airport to town, Hope you have a great trip. Hi Tham,
You can book shared vans fr Hat Yai to Penang from the travel agencies around the vicinity of Lee Garden Plaza hotel at Prachathipat Rd.,fare starts from bht200 up. Goodluck!

thanks for all the replies. Coincidently I need to pass through Hatyai 2 days ago and found all the answers.. =)
The cost from Hatyai airport to town by van is 75B, by taxi is 290B The cost from Hatyai to Penang is 250B, just let the hotel arrange for you or go to a travel agency, both shld charge around that price. Cheers
