Hi,
I am from Turkey and i will be there by 27-29 of Nov. for a business trip. My company will be in Pearl Continental, but it is rather expensive for me. İ am looking for and advise for e nearby hotel, less expensive but at least 3 stars quality. A clean room and smiling faces are enough. I need nothing further. Plesae give some help finding the great poet of the East too. I am coming with a lot of gratitude for what he said to Paks. about us. Thank you in advance.

There is a small in called Residency close to PC/Avari. My company has used this quite often and is considered a better, reasonable hotel. Will try to get their number tomorrow.

PC's a nice place to saty and dine and location's also good but I'm also agree with Besal about residency, there're good recommendations about that.

Lahore, the city of great hustle and bustle,cuisine,Mughal architecture,gardens, monuments,sufi hermits and much much more.


So nice trip to Pakistan.

I appreciate your help. I called today the residency and they told me they are full for the nov 27-30. Holiday inn says the same (except they have suits). Please brothers go on to help me: how about GYM khana, ambassador and mirage before my my final decision to force into PC?

you are very right at the moment there is too much visitors in lahore due to pak vs england cricket matches which includes media people as well, then after few days chineese president plan to visit pakistan so lot of agreement has to sign in officially so lot of chineese delegation is here to do previsit working, and the different international events are in process.....

Residency is so nice and quiet not your typical large extra busy hotel
But they have limited space.. my Turkish buddy could not get a place there, so he got Avari again ...

What makes pakistani people distiguished is i guess the manner they have. Thank you for all the help you try to do. Tabrez i got the contacts and i will jump on. bobby thanks for the generous offer, i ll keep in mind before lying in the streets. i take it seriously lol.

I am in same sort of dilema; every 5 star hotel price looks like a rip off to me. I would ideally like a place which is luxurious, nice & above all with a good friendly service & good bunch of people around. (Unlike last time in Hotel Embassador, when a drunk fat headless jerk started banging on hotel doors in middle of night).

Well ali dont mind but wat would u expect from a place like Ambassador,sorry no offence but you gotta realize we are not a tourist orientated country and hotels are and should be choosen with extreme caution and search.
Well we don have 5 star hotels rite now yes we have hotels which provide certain facilities of a 5star hotel.But u are rite Rack Rate of hotels r very high.
Holday Inn is a nice choice & believe me nobody will bang on the door.
let me knw if u need any assistance i knw ppl their.
Apart from this i have found out about a new place for short stay in lahore,accomodation on weekly rent.I have not seen it but ppl r talking about it, the number is 042-5857796/0300-8880228.
Windmills is also a nice place,but advance booking is a must.

My trip is over. I was in Leaders Inn. It was something, clean, very hospitable and quite. I think it was ok. but the price was a little bit high. For example, PC would charge me about 200, leaders charged me 82 inc. breakfast and tax. Comparing it with the PC it has still much to do.

Tabriz, thank you for the offer. Unfortunately, i was very busy all the times and couldn't do anything else by myself.

What i have done there was i had dinner at Coco's, and Village. saw the historical sites, were even invited by the Governer as my company and interior House and the hospitality of the Governer was wonderful. I think he is a very impressive leader. PC was beautiful too. What i ate was very spicey but i liked them. For sure tough, Pakis don't know to cook a kebab. desserts were interesting and were my favorites. But i don't remember anything other than qurma and Bryani which were quite similar to those we have in my country too. I even had a chinese dinner last day.

and i bought an afghan carpet, cashmere stuff, leather jackets. I liked the visit, Pakistani people, made a lot of friends, had enough fun.

One thing was terrible: bahsish:tipping. for every occasion just because i wore a suit every servant offered help and asked for the tip which was frustrating.

I liked the visit because it was not difficult. i barely touched on the ground. in some other terms it would have been horrible. Once again i was impressed by the H.E. Governor and His nobel manners.

For the other face of Lahore, poor face, i still have pity. Pakistan is very rich country tough i guess most of the income is controlled by a small minority which i very dislike. other issue i guess is the military expenditure. 65% of the revenues is spent on nothing:military, thats why i was not quite happy when eating safely while i had in my mind that i was eating on the rich side (i don't like to be feeling like that among the poor)

One quick and final note for the qatar airways: they eat the dust of turkish airlines since they are just losers. terrible captains, losers-looking hosteses (tough they are very attractive) and hopeless money wasters.

THank all for the help. somehow, i love pakistan and i feel i left my half there, somehow.
