I'm visiting Alice Springs in early Sept. Can anyone tell me what sort of weather to expect? I'm also planning on staying at the Desert Rose Inn. Any comments on the accommodation? Thanks!

The weather should be good,but being in the desert it can get down to zero degrees during the night and up to 30 degrees in the day.The trip to Ayers rock from alice springs is about 4-5 hours one way.Also i have found walking around the rock was very enjoyable.I did not climb up the rock,because the aboriginal people prefer that you do not.Also the olgas are not far away.I would spend more time there than 1 day,if it was me.
