My marvelous travel trough China is almost finishing. I will travel from Shanghai to my dear Colombia the next December. I would like to buy some souvenirs but I am afraid about the cost of the overweight luggage. I am looking for the best way to send a 20 kilos box. By China Post is 1400 yuanes! And the box will be in Colombia in 1 or 2 months. Who knows how much is the overweight-luggage per kilo at the airplane? Xie-Xie! Thanks in advance. Zai Jian! Helena |

Definitely much more than what it would cost you to mail it. The actual cost depends on which airline you're flying with.

Ring the airline and ask in advance...if you leave it till you check in it will cost more!

it doesnt matter who you are travelling with...ANY EXCESS LUGGAGE WILL BE EXPENSIVE,the further you go, the more expensive it will be and as far as you are going, it will be damn expensive per kilos....go to a cargo shipping agency and they can help you send the stuff by plane to colombia....even air france cargo can do that and it will be cheaper than overweight luggage.
