Hi,

I am planning on staying in koh phangan for new years and the full moon party on the 3rd of January, it is impossible to find any accommodation though. The only place i can find is a place called Fairyland Resort, but i cant find any information on it, has anybody heard of it or stayed there, that can tell me if it is a decent place? and if it is in a nice location in haad rin?

thanks!

Its been a while but I lived in had rin 2002-2003. I have never heard of the fairy land resort. When I lived there accomodation was hard to get in Had rin but else where it was fairly easy. NY is notroriously hard to get acc. but even then it is not so hard. But then maybe things have changed. I would reserve rooms there & then see what else you ca n find upon arrival. Most guesthouse you won't be bale to reserve over the internet. A good place to meet fellow party people & to be in the thick of it is Paraise bungalows.
Take it easy & hve fun

I went to KP on NY eve 2002/2003 and stayed at Chai's Guesthouse at Ban Mae Haad up in the northest corner of the island. I didn't book in advance and there was no shortage of cabins. It was a really nice pace to stay also.
I think Chai's Guesthouse is well known among the taxi drivers at the harbour also.
