Hello from Dubai :-)

Will be in Karachi from 26th to 28th of December 2006.

Do any of you have the website address for the Carlton Hotel?
Or alternatively, a hotel recommendation NEAR the Carlton Hotel?

I will be attending a friend's wedding ceremony on the 27th in the Carlton Hotel, so would like to stay there or somewhere nearby (we're not millionaires, may I add, but nice & clean hotel would be appreciated...)

Carlton is situated outside the main city (but not that far). The rates for double room around Rs 4500-5000. Right now the rates have shot up to Rs 6000 as their is an IDEA exhibition going on in Karachi (ends Nov 22).

Carlton is right next to Marina boat club, Area 51 (bowling), Creek Club, and Golf Club (2 km from Carlton); and on the banks of a creek, which will also give you a beautiful view of sunrise over the mangroves. The Arabian sea (coastline) is approx. 4 km from Carlton.

Ask your friend whose wedding you are attending if they can, maybe, arrange guest houses in Creek Club or Golf Club. Heard they have rooms for their members.
