Zhuhai Travel Forum

I was just wondering if anybody knew any details about travelling from Yangshuo to Zhuhai. I heard that there isn't a train line directly connecting the two yet, but do bus services run at all? Preferably a cheap sleeper bus. Anybody got any ideas about pricing and timings? And has anyone done the route - how comfortable etc? Where would I buy the tickets?

Just take a train or bus to Guangzhou and then hop onto a bus to Zhuhai. Quite painless and fast from GZ to ZH.

There is a major bus station adjacent to the GZ train station.

Yes, go by direct bus from Yangshuo to Guangzhou (no need to go through Guilin!), then take a train/bus to Zhuhai.
Take a look at http://www.yangers.com for more useful info about Yangshuo. Email Alf the webmaster if you need more specific info, he runs a bar and guesthouse in Yangshuo and is very helpful!!! :)

Is there no bus that takes the direct route? Because I don't want to go through Guangzhou as I am doing a round trip from Hong Kong going through Guangzhou before visiting Guilin so I don't really want to go back through. Wouldn't it be quicker going direct?

If you look on the map, you'll realise that Guangzhou is on the way between Yangshuo and Zhuhai.
I searched online and found 2 different bus schedules for Guilin -- Zhuhai, these buses would pass through Yangshuo on the way to Zhuhai.
Site A: normal bus leaving at 1130/1310 (125 RMB) from Guilin, and express bus leaving at 2040 (150 RMB) from Guilin.
Site B: departures from Guilin at 1130/1220/1510 (125 RMB) for Zhuhai.
