Hi we will be in belfast on 14 April 2007 and were looking for some ideas on what to see and do while there. We are a mixed age group of two pensioners a 17 year old a 27 year old and a child of 6. We all like history and buildings of interest etc. Also is there any places of interest that would be particularly interesting to a 6 year old although I sometimes think she is only happy when spending money. Someone has suggested that we take a trip out to the Giants causeway which we may consider but we are on a bit of a tight budget with this trip unfortunately. We will be in Blefast for around 14 hours.

I'd take one of the bus tours, have a look around the City Hall then head across the Lagan to the Odyssey to take the 6 year old to see W5, if you don't all fancy going in then there are plenty of cafes to while the time away in.

Also I meant to ask in my earlier post anyone any idea how far from were the boat docks to the city centre. Also how easy is it to get to the zoo because the 6 year old with a little help from the 17 year old has spotted that there is a zoo and quite fancies going there.

Most ferries have a free bus service for foot passengers into the city centre, check with the operators website for information (P&O, Stena or Norsemerchant).

I never visited the zoo but their website details which buses to use to get there.

Thanks for your help on this. Its actually a cruise ship we will be on but I am asuming they will dock around the same place as the ferries.
