| Province of Alberta | Plan B - forget work and just travel :) Posted: Tue November 7, 2006 01:56 PM UTC
Hi again,
You might Plan B incase Plan A (which was to work in edmonton for up to 10 months and then travel around canada in the last month or two) doesnt bear fruits. Our Plan B so far would be to arrive in Edmonon in January 2007, spend some time with friends of the family there, buy a decent 4x4/car and head off travelling canada through rockies, Vancouver and up into Alaska.. on the basic budget we might have around $10k CAD all in, excluding flights to and from canada of course. Does anyone know if it is possible to buy a vehicle in Edmonton and travel through other canadian provinces with ease and affordability? how would insurnace work out? and then how about travelling to some parts of Alasaka and even south through Seatle into the states? Thanks again guys, begining to get mild panic attacks cos its getting close and I leave my reasonably well paid but dull and boring job in two weeks, (gulp!).. Chris |
