Manaus Ayahuasca and guide
Posted: Tue November 7, 2006 02:18 AM UTC
Im travelling through South America next year and high on my priorties list is a extensive tour of the rainforest. One of the higher priorites in touring the rainforest is to find a indigenous Indian tribe who offer Ayahuasca ceremonies as part of your visit. Its definately not your usual tourist request but if anyone has had this experience or know of where to go and who to speak to in order to enjoy this experience it would be much appreciated to know.

Also I intend to have as personal as possible experience of the rainforest. So I want to avoid tour groups and just find a personal guide who may offer a tour into a more remote part of the rain forest. If anyone can give me some advice on where to look at finding such a guide that would be also appreciated. Price isnt the issue as it has no preference over a truly personal spiritual experience. Cheers

Manaus RE: Ayahuasca and guide

I traveled to Brazil in August, and fellow VT member "RafaeltheSecond" was great--he gave me all the information I needed, and was most helpful. He can help you find a personal guide. To contact him, do a search by going to the top right hand corner, type in his name "RafaeltheSecond", select member from the drop down list. Click on his name, which will take you to his travel pages. When you see his profile, you can send him an email. You won't be disappointed!

I dronk the Ayahuasca more than one.
See on my side: www.bloggen.be/erico
It is written in Dutch but the pictures show enough.
If you want; I can put you in contat with a young guy who lives in the Amazon forest long away from the tourist points as Manaus (2000km). You can trust him totaly. He is not a tourist guide. He will take you to his home and this family ( more or less 45 persons) adept the religion of the Ayahuasca.
You can see and film how they make this drink. You can also visit the rainforest the time you want. You will sleep in hamocs and his mother will cook for you.
You will pay the costs of the trip and the food.
After your visit, give him extra 100 dollar and he will be happy.
For more details, please mail me.
Note: You can trust this man and family totaly. You will pay only after the trip and if this trip wasn't as you disered, you will pay nothing.
Have a nice trip

Hi,
I am also traveling to Brazil next year in Feb. I have been in many Ayahuasca ceremonies but never in the Amazon, so I am also looking for the kind of contact that you ask about. My journey with the sacred Tea has so far been profound and healing and I am feeling to dive deeper into the indigenous experience. I read Enrico's reply to you, seems helpful. Let me know what you find and when you plan to be in Manaus. Cheers.
