| Liechtenstein | Driving in Switzerland/Liechtenstein/Austria Posted: Mon November 6, 2006 11:03 PM UTC
Hello,
I will be renting a car for a holiday in Italy, and plan to venture up into Austria/Switzerland/Leichtenstein for a few days. I have read that to drive on the motorways you need to pay for a sticker. Any idea how much these stickers will cost? If they are prohibitively expensive, I will likely just stick to Italy. Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks, Craig |

Hi
the sticker for the highways in Switzerland is 40 swissFrancs for one year, sorry no reductions for shorter terms. In Austria you can get 10days(8Euro), monthly(22Euro) and annual(73Euro) stickers. In addition certain alpin roads and tunnels are privatly operated and can be expensiv. In Liechtenstein are no highways or tollroades. Let me know by email if you have any further questions, I'm living in eastern Switzerland and work in Liechtenstein, so thats the place where I know most. Happy travelling Peter
