Since a week I'm back from Indonesia-Kalimantan.
I really loved the food. You can't get those fish here. But what I really loved was the vegetarian cooking. I ate a sweet sort of fried tempeh...Is there someone who got a recipe for it? I've got lots of cooking books...but... pleeeeeze. |

I am an Indoensian and I was born in Kalimantan. Which sweet tempe you are talking about. I never know that from that dish in kalimantan . I am going back to my home town this afternoon, can you inform me about this? Thanks Tiur

It's called "Sambal Goreng Tempe".
The ingredient: Tempe (you can buy in asian shop, to make it is not easy), cut thinly & fry it Shallot, cut thinly (shallot more quantity then garlic) Garlic, cut thinly Sweet soya sauce (can get in asian shop) ABC Brand Chilly is optional (use big chilli, take seed out) -Fry shallot and garlic until bit brown -Add chilly -Add fried tempe, stir -Add Sweet soya sauce , heat down, stir.
