Hello 1hotbabe ! Look at www.newcaledoniatourism-south.com/traveltips.cfm. But the french officials are not very restrictive, especially if you´re travelling on an EU passport. The best currency to exchange is the EURO because the CFP is linked with the EURO at a fixed rate.

That site is great, but as well as that read the member pages about New Caledonia here on VT. Not a lot but some good tips can be found there.
