Don't know about transport for Nazare, buit plenty to do in Tomar. Sit by the river drinking coffee and watch the world go by (or eat lunch, dinner whatever), walk along the banks of said river, meander through the alleyways and back streets of the old town, visit the compact but delightful cathedral and ornate town square, walk uphill (not an easy walk, not a difficult one) to the old castle and ruined monastery overlooking the town. Its a delight - 2 -3 days of taking it easy, or could 'do it' in a day.

Enjoy
Keith

The Templar castle is a delight. Hardly any tourists. Nobody selling anything. I couldn't even get a book on Tomar. It's a not to miss place. Arthur
