Planning a trip to Bhutan from last week of Dec to new year. I want to know if it is a good time. We are not interested in trekking / adventures, just looking around and getting a feel of the place, for about 6 days.
I read in some news items that Druk Air is starting fights from Mumbai to Paro in 2006, has it started already? Their website doesnt show such flights yet.

Secondly is end december a good time to go around, sightseeing etc...and not snowing.

Want lots more info, but after sometime is kind enough to answer these first.

Also please confirm if Indians dont have to pay the 200$/day tourism fee.

I guess there is no flight from Mumbai to Paro. Druk Air is very limited on its flightschedule.
December is winter season. You will run into some snow, and this will perhaps make it very difficult to travel (for ex to walk up to Tiger's nest). It will be also very cold - we were there in April and found ice on the windows in the morning ... The days at this time were beautiful warm and sunny.
India has a special arrangement with Buthan, so there are no 200 $ to pay - but I dont know what kind of visa You need. Druk Air will help You around.
