| St. Thomas | Hotel Day Pass in St. Thomas? Posted: Thu October 26, 2006 11:22 PM UTC
Does anyone know of a nice hotel that will issue a day pass? We are in port for just one day with our Disney Cruise. I don't really see any of their excursions that interest me. I have heard a day pass would entitle one to use of the hotel pool, changing and rest rooms and restaurants just for one day, no overnight. Is that a good idea? The pool on the ship is ok, but... Might that be worth it?

No, stay on the ship. There are some shops just off the gangway if you want to do some quick shopping. The ship will empty out and you can have the run of the ship with free food and drinks probably cheaper than ashore.
That's what we did the last time we stopped there and at several other port stops over the years if we had been there or had no interest in going ashore. If you really want to get off the ship and go hang at a hotel, check with the ship as many times they have a deal with specific hotels allowing passengers to use the place. However, if you stake out a chair by the hotel pool and order a drink from the bar, I doubt anybody is going to kick you out.
