In october should start the rainy season, I only hope that you do not expect clean white sandy beaches in Bali or trasparent water, cause you would be disappointed :))

Not to mention you'll be shooing away beach hawkers. Worse than FLIES I tell you. "You wan' braids? Miss, you want pedicure? Massage? You wan hat? Sarong? My third child? Coke? Bemo ride?"

I love Bali, but Beaches - unless you are a surfer - are not the reason to go, 'kay?

Postpone!

Yesterday two bombs exploded in Bali. The death toll was about 200, mostly tourists! I expect Bali to be empty the next few weeks if not months. For those adventurous tourists this will eb the best time as everything would be cheap and empty. I doubt if there will be more bombs in normally safe Bali but it might be a good idea to postpone all your travel plans to Bali at this time. Security is going to be heightened and it may detract from the fun. Eveybody there will be talking about this shameful event so it would not be the time and the place to forget your troubles!
