hi! im going to live 9 months in Rizhao, China! I wonder if you could answer some questions.... which type of credit card (visa, american express, master card, etc) should i use? are there many atms? can i have my own account in a bank of china eventhough i'm from another country? :D

Yes, you can open a bank account in China with your foreign passport.
I doubt how popular credit card is accepted, don't depend on that. When you open a bank account, you will get a debit card, you can make purchase with it. However, still many places are cash only.
