Cusco Macchu Piccu Tour Operator
Posted: Sun October 15, 2006 01:03 PM UTC
Hey there VTers,

We are heading down to visit Maccu Piccu early-mid january 2007. Just wanted to put out the name and price of the tour operator we are thinking of going with to see if anyone has used them before/heard of them and check we arent getting a really bad deal..

The tour operator is called ANDEAN LIFE
The price for a 2 day private inca trail for four people is US$205 (having already subtracted the US$30 student discount).

Cant wait to hear your thoughts.

i havent used this company but have heard good things. the price seems expensive for 2 day tour if thats per person. last year i did the salkantay trail to MP for 160$. it was a 5 day hike and included everything

Is this cusco or M.P.? Cause, the inka trail hike up to M.P. is 4 days not 2. If its M.P. its a rip off. Around Cusco and the Sacred Valley, you can do it on your own and can buy a pass for all the locations.
I posted on my M.P. tips that using tour operators is so whack. Its true.

Hey

Someone mentioned the Salkantay trek there. if possible, and you have not already booked up the other trail, do the salkantay as it is the far better trek. you see more, cross incredibly diverse terrain, jungle to snow.

Also, i'll back that up about Andean Life. they are supposed to be a good company, but as an alternative, try Llamapath. they are a newer company, so should be cheaper. the trails i have done with them were absolutely incredible. the guide we had was out of this world.
