My golf pro does something similar. I can ask him. I never heard of those apartments however. What course are you apprenticing at?

Are you apprenticing at the PGA course in N Scottsdale? If so, Joshua Tree is fairly close, you may want to check out N Phoenix (near Bell Road or even a bit north of there, apartments in Phoenix tend to be cheaper than Scottsdale. I am familiar with Joshua Tree, it was fairly delux, if you can afford it, I'd say go for it. But you may find something cheaper that is just as nice and has the same amenities as JT. Most places in Phoeniz area aren't that old, so they aren't run-down! Most apt complexes are owned by big corps or REITs and are professionally managed, so they keep them up. I've stayed at several complexes in the Phoenix area and can't really say anything bad about them. Just depends on how close you want to be to work and how much you can pay. Traffic in the Phoenix area is pretty horrible and you want to try to be going opposite of rush hour if you can! (Which means going north or east in the am and opposite in pm if you are in Scottsdale). If you have any other questions, feel free to ask!
