| San Marino | Rome to San Marino Posted: Sat October 14, 2006 03:43 PM UTC
Hi there
My husband and I plan to travel from Rome to San Marino in late Dec / early Jan. Are there direct trains that run there? Anyone have an idea on how much it will cost? Will an Italy travel pass cover a trip to San Marino? Thanks for all info.! |

Hi there,
There is no railway system in the Republic of San Marino. The nearest train station is in the Italian city of Rimini, on the Adriatic coast. From Rimini there is a regular bus service to the Republic, departing from just outside the train station, and going all the way up to the historic centre of the city of San Marino, at the summit of Mount Titano. Well worth it. Have a great time.
