Know this is a daft question but these coordinates below are for Maya Bay. Anybody know if North/South/East/West etc......Exact latitude : 7,72588° longitude : 98,78359° . Not a nerd just want a tattoo of it!!!

Hannah sounds better, anyway you have posed a very interesting question. I think I have the answer for you. A site online indicates that Phi Phi Island is at co-ordinates of 07'45 North Lat. & 98'46 East Long. Phi Phi Island is also known as Phi Phi Don which was devasted by the tsunami in 2004. Now, listed on the site below* is Phi Phi Ley which is the Island where "The Beach" was filmed and this is situated at co-ordinates of 07'28 NORTH LATITUDE & 99'4 EAST LONGITUDE. Phi Phi Don & Ley are fairly close together hence the similarity of the co-ordinates.

So I am pretty sure that the second co-ordinates are the one's you'll need for the tattoo. I Googled "Maya Bay Longitude & Latitude" and along with other sites, I reckon it's pretty spot on!

It's certainly an awesome place, I've been there twice myself.
Anyway, good luck with that tattoo. I'll stand corrected on the info above but I'm pretty sure that it's correct.

Thanks Ashley, thought of chickenhead as nobody else will have it and my nickname used to be chicken so a little adaptation!!

Last time I was at maya Bay I had the most spiritual experience so got Maya Bay in Thai language tattooed on my back. I saw someone with coordinates of a place they conceived their child at and thought hey cool, I'll get the same for Maya Bay. It is my favourite place in the world so why not!!

I'm going back out for Christmas and New Year and will be on Phi Phi for Boxing day. I think it will be an emotional but has to be done experience. We was out there 6 weeks after the Tsunami and wasn't put off at all. People thought I was mad to go then but it made it even more special to be able to help them out.
