| Juba | Travel in South Sudan Posted: Wed October 11, 2006 04:24 AM UTC
Hi,
I'd like to travel to Kajo-Keje in February next year but I saw that the US and UK embassies suggest it is too dangerous. I'm meeting a Southern Sudanese friend there -- how was Juba when you were there in September? Also do you think it would be best to travel via Kampala (and by road or air?) or from Khartoum or Nairobi? thanks! |

i was in juba in march this year and apart from the expected inconviniences, things appeared to be improving; in terms of security that is. and as for kajo keji, once inside, it should be safe, the hardest thing though is how to get there from juba as the link had not been well established due to the activeness of uganda's LRA rebels. ironicaly though it may sound, the best way getting there is by road across the uganda-sudan border.
