I am looking at visiting Sanya. Is there plenty to do? Is 17 nights too long to stay at Sanya?

17 nights may be a tad too long in my own personal opinion unless you like to park yourself on a beach and forget about time. You may wish to split up your time with other Hainan towns.

I have a VT page on Hainan Dao which you may wish to take a look and see what your options may be. It focuses mainly on Haikou and Sanya though.

I think you'd go apeshit after 3 nights there. Why not visit the mainland and tour Guangdong or go to Yangshuo???

5-7 days at sanya, 2-3days at wuzhi mt., 2days at xinglong, that's enough.

2 nights in Haikou, 1 nights in Boao, 2 nights in Wuzhishan, 2 nights in Xinglong, 2 nights in Qi Xian Mountain(Baoting), 1 night in Lingshui, 7nights in Sanya. :))))

besides all the others suggestion sightseeing of hainan, u may consider 1 few day visit to neigbhouring guangxhou, guilin & yangshuo too. hope it helps....

in fact i'm visitng hainan this end oct 2006 for a week. i may squeee a couple of days to guilin, yangshou if time permits.

You can share in haikou, qionghai, wenchang and so on.
