You can use the pools and the bars. The beach of course and I think that you can hire sailing cats and other beach equipment. Daydream is the same and a much more relaxed athmosphere than hamilton

Hi
We recently stayed 4 nights on Hamilton Island, if you are dressed in casual shorts , bathers etc they will not question you, go to the main pool, or the beach area in front of the Reef View Hotel, you will have a great time.Use the restaurants and pay by cash or credit cards, they are used to day visitors. We took a Fantasea day long ferry package from Hamilton Island which went to Shute Harbour on the mainland (30 minute ferry ride), Airlie Beach visit , then back on ferry to Long Island Resort for an hour or so, then on ferry to Daydream Island for a few hours. Great day Good Luck
