Dear All,
Sorry for the trouble, but does anyone know whether there are Bank of China offices in kunming, Dali and Lijiang? As far as I know from our travels in China, only BOC permits currency exhanges. If there are, address please? thanks. |

Perhaps I'm wrong but the other "big 4" gov't banks also do it provided you show a passport. I exchanged money once at an Agricultural Bank with no problems. Either way, I know there are plenty of branches of BOC in Kunming and Dali...

You can also exchange currency at Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC). All should be quite easy to find in Kunming, Dali and Lijiang. I remember that in Dali there were a number of banks on the road running north directly from the south gate of the old city, very easy to find.
