Where else in Turkey?
Posted: Fri July 11, 2003 10:24 AM UTC
I know about Cappadoccia, Antalya, Bodrum, Ephesus, Gallipoli, and Pamukkale. I want to stay near the coast and be near nature for the rest of the month. Where else should I go?

What? Istanbul is an ugly city?? Istanbul is one of the most beutiful cities in Turkey and in the world.
I agree with Aslihan, you have many opportunities. Personally I would reccomend Marmaris because of great climate and wonderful area around. And Istanbul of course.

OK, it's your right to have your opinion. I also didn't visit Polonezkoy but I loved Istanbul and all those great buildings there. High costs of building them aren't a reasons not to like them. And this is my opinion :-)

Traffic, crowd... so you could say that almost all bigger cities in the world are ugly and it's not about their look but their environment. Actually they aren't ugly but you personally don't like them. Lately I was in St.Petersburg, I saw there one of the biggest traffic jam but also I found the city as really beautiful.

I live in a big city and very often I look to the sky. And I can see the stars... That's right that the air isn't clear but I can't say that because of that my city isn't nice. And the same about Istanbul. Even in the big smog Blue Mosque or Top Kapi are an amazing buildings for me.

He doesn't want to go to Pamukkale, he just knows this place and asks about opinions where to go near the coast.

I really recommend you little harbour village datca, not far from bodrum - i just returned from there... A wonderful place on a peninsula, nearly only turkish tourists, still extremely cheap, beautiful beaches... you can visit Knidos, Rhodos, Simi from there by boat, get in contact with the young people from the place (after a week I new nearly all of them) and party all night long..., one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen! You only reach it after a wild bus tour through the mountains - go to Dalaman, take the bus to Marmaris and from there to Datca. Worth it staying there for a month!

Hi,
Bodrum is my favourite place for both its entertaining atmosphere and unique nature. There are many hotels and holiday villages offering those values. Among them i can say Rixos, WOW, Sea Garden and Charm.
