Whistler lift pass
Posted: Tue September 26, 2006 12:11 AM UTC
Im going to Whistler for the first time on a very tight package/budget in March 07. I hear you can buy a lift pass for $50Can/day (incl tax?)but you can only ski on one of Blackcombe or Whistler. Correct?
I'm being offered 5 of 6 days at $290Can incl tax for resort pass but can you or do you really want to ski the whole resort on any one day?

LOL, nope. I run a large travel agency in Vancouver. I went to the Whistler site and found something called an Edge Pass, use postal code V6K 1N7 to check prices in the right area.
There are day passes from 7-11 that are not bad.
The thing is, you will meet people and they will recommend a hill for the day and if you have the wrong mountain ticket for that day you are hooped. Spend the little extra at the start so you can have the option to have fun.
If you need a local to get your pass, let me know. I will do it for the price of a beer, not the $40 the other person is charging.
You will love Whistler.

The lift ticket covers both mountains . I have never seen a ticket for only one mountain. Maybe someone is selling such a ticket. Send an e-mail to Whistler and confirm what you are actually buying. Buy the standard ticket that covers both mountains.

You may want to ski one mountain in the morning and the other in the afternoon depending on the wait times at certain lifs or the weather.
