Prominent Cylinder-shaped structure on Telegraph Hill.

I'm trying to identify San Francisco landmarks from some vintage (fifties) art. I am not that familiar with San Francisco and would appreciate any help I can get. In a couple of art pieces there is a prominent cylinder-shaped structure, I believe to be on Telegraph Hill. The building appears to get smaller at the top, with arch windows or openings... perhaps a bell tower? It appears to be surrounded by trees. I think I was even there some twenty years ago, a popular tourist spot, I believe, but I can't remember what it was. Can anyone help me? Thanks a million!

Coit Tower, built by Lillie Coit. Often thought to look like a fireman's nossle, because she was fond of chasing the fire trucks, but was not deliberately designed this way in reality. Other's have provided the links...

Yep, Coit Tower. But was it made to look like a firehose because she liked chasing fire trucks or because she liked fireMEN? ;-)
