Jiuzhaigou Travel Forum

1) 2 friends will be flying to Xi'an from Shanghai, estimated time of arrival 1555. Would this be enough time for them to make the flight to Jiuzhaigou at 1700? Or is this cutting it a bit too close and I should tell them to take an earlier (but more expensive) flight? There's only 1 flight daily from Xi'an to Jiuzhaigou, so we can't miss it!

2) I read that there're buses running directly from Jiuzhaigou airport to Jiuzhaigou park. What's the frequency like? How much is the fare? I read that they take about 1-1.5 hours, is that right? How much would it be to take a taxi (or whatever other vehicle) for this journey?

3) Is it still possible to stay in Jiuzhaigou park, or have we better abandon the idea? What time does the park close?

4) Has anyone heard of Immortal (or Heavenly) Lake, known in Chinese as Shen2 Xian1 Chi2, kinda near Jiuzhaigou? The admission fee seems to be 398 RMB BUT seems that you've to stay in a really posh hotel near/in the scenic area. This place looks REALLY wonderful so we'd all appreciate any and all info on it!

1) if the flight arrives on time then should be ok,20 minutes enough to reach the check-in counter; but i do suggest you book the same airline from shanghai to xi'an;
2)bus doesn't run regularly, they might have to wait for it; it will cost more than rmb250 for taking a taxi from jiuhuang airport to jiuzhaigou; if asking too high, it's better to bargain; it takes 2 hours by bus and 1.5 hour by taxi.
3)it's not allowed to accormadate inside the park. the staff will check & clear by around 6 o'clock.
4)it's similar to jiuzhaigou and huanglong for it's colourful lakes but the hotel is the very beautiful one even in whole china, built in the forest and with a very huge hot spring. it's on the way from airport to jiuzhaigou and 20 minutes driving to jiuzhaigou.

I know the hotel at Shen Xian Chi is very nice, but we don't have the money to stay there, we're students! Can we still visit the attraction if we're not staying at the hotel, or not?
