Hi

5 travellers coming to Bitez on 17th October. Looked at websites for car hire and found the excess of £400 a little expensive as it is deducted at time of booking, with the refund at the end of a holiday. Sorry but the interest is better in my account, given the high prices being quoted for the actual hire on-line.

We're landing at 02:55, so my question is, would be be better to hire a taxi/minibus to/from the airport and then hire a car for the day, on days we know we want to go exploring, rather than renting for the week?

Hope some of you seasoned travellers will be able to help us.

Havas is the shuttle company and they should have a bus service to Bodrum town center..

Airport is 20km away from Bodrum town center..taxi can be around 40-50€
take a bus shuttle by Havas and than from Bodrum town center to Bitez ; only 4 -5 km..

Actually car rental in October can be max 50€ to 90€ for a FIAT-Ford type of car..

Avis, Hertz kind of rentals are avaliable..

Bodrum/Milas airport is 40 km far to bodrum and if you are 5 persons you can take a taxi to bitez and I agree with your comments to hire a taxi daily instead of weekly .The daily rate should be around 50-100 ytl according to the car that you choose .
