Breda Travel Forum

I am coming to Breda in October and was wondering about trains from Schipol to Breda. I looked on the German Bahn site and there are plenty of trains and the journey takes about 1,5 hours. However, this site wont give prices because it is not within Germany. Does anyone know of the price for this or can you give me the address for the dutch rail site (I can understand dutch)? Also do you save money if you buy the tickets in advance or buy a return ticket? Dank U!

Am currently in Breda. Flew in on Monday 25/9 from Kuala Lumpur. Used the train from Schipol to Breda based on the information from www.ns.nl Very helpful indeed but got to be careful. As i don't understand Dutch, during my journey to Breda, I got to change train at Den Haag HS (i think). The train in front was delayed and the actual train changed platform then. It was announced over the PA but i don't understand, missed it and ended up I got to wait for the next train 1/2 hour later. I think the train is very frequently delayed due to too many other trains moving around. Otherwise, it was smooth about 1.h hours (minus the delay) from Airport.

Thank you all. I looked on the site and a return ticket is 28,20. The only thing I was wondering is if a weekend ticket or something was available or if you book in advance if they lower the price? i will be travelling late on Friday (13. Oct) and coming back late on Sunday (15. Oct). I looked through the dutch version of the site, but couldn't find anything about advance discounts or weekend tickets. Thanks.

Not so sure on the weekend discount. as far as i know, return ticket (discounted) is only valid for the same day travel only

Even if you travel alone, the "Herfsttoer" ticket can be a cheaper option if you travel in the weekend.
