Is there anywhere in Darwin or nearby that you can camp on the beach? Let me know if you knew, thanks

I have never been to Darwin but I did wonder if it was safe with the crocs around.

That's true. They've been protected for years now and some of them have grown to monster sizes.

Yeah, you can camp at the beach if you really want to, but its not very exciting. Most of the beaches in darwin itself (casuarina, lee point, nightcliff) are no camping beaches, but you can camp over the harbour, at Mandorah...People camp all the time, and I know friends have heard crocs but not seen them, and I haven't heard of anyone being eaten over there! There arent really waves tho, and sandflies can be a bit of a problem...if you want to have an enjoyable camping trip, you're better off heading out of town if possible...Litchfield is my favourite, and Douglas Hot Springs are pretty cool...
