I would like to know something about the Urban train that goes from Lisboa-Santa Apolonia to Sintra...This is what i get on CP site and I want to know if this means that this train is a direct train or do I have to change trains? One emore question I have is what does it mean Dias Uteis- Inverno and Verao? Thank you.

Well, first, your example is from Sintra to Santa Apolonia, not the other way around.

I can't find your same solution (since I don't know what date you used), but in looking at random at various solutions for next week that look like what you have above, yes, it looks like each of these segments are separate trains (they each have separate numbers and are listed as separate services). However, in looking at trains for Monday about this time of the evening, it looks like most of them from Santa Apolonia to Sintra have only one change, not two like the one you list above.

"Dias" means "days". "Inverno" means "winter". "Verão" means "summer". I don't recognize "Uteis" - can you show me the page it's used on?

"Dias Úteis" means that it is valid only for weekdays and not weekends.

Ok, on that specific site, it means that those places where you can buy the tickets are open, on week days, between the shown times. More useful information:
"Sábados" - Saturday
"Domingos e Feriados" - Sunday and public holidays
"Encerrado entre as... " - Closed between...
"Encerrado aos feriados" - Closed on public holidays
Hope it helps... It's a shame that they don't have that info in English...

Hi,

You don't have a direct train from Santa Apolonia station to Sintra, you'll have to change trains. In fact you'll have to change twice. That train that departs from Sintra train station at 18h13 arrives at areiro train station at 18h59, then you'll have to change to the train that goes to the oriente station, and finnaly you'll have to change again at braco de Prata Station and catch the tain with the destination Santa Apolonia station.

To catch a direct train to Sintra you'll have to catch it at the Entrecampos train station or at the Arreiro train station.

Hope to have helped.

Rita
