| Bermuda | working in Bermuda Posted: Sat September 16, 2006 02:42 AM UTC
I am hoping to secure a nursing position at King edward Memorial hospital...a great deal of paper work yet to be completed. Can any one provide info on the hospital accomodation or anything about the hospital that woud give me some insight into what it woud be like to work and live in Bermuda.I understand it is an expensive place to live but I am happy to live like a peasant in paradise as long as i can afford to eat!! and possibly travel a little.

I don't know about the hospital specifically, but I can confirm that Bermuda is a very expensive place to live, much more so than New Zealand (I met a few Kiwis there). There are two good forums you can join to get the honest ex-pat view of the place:
- www.limeyinbermuda.com - www.bermudasucks.com (ignore the name; it's not that bad)

Read any of the replies to the questions in this forum. They should give you a fairly good idea of what it's like to live there. If you have specific questions, e-Mail me directly, I'd be happy to help.
