Please advise best way of travelling from Cairo to Mt Sinai - bus or taxi or other? Not interested in tour at this point.
Where does one stay overnight in order to climb up for sunrise? Then best way to get from Mt Sinai to Aqaba? Can one hire a car in Aqaba for drop off in Amman? Thanks |

Yes you can arrange to drop off in Amman, but buses and service taxis from Aqaba to Amman are numerous and cheap!

From Sharmal Sheik (not right spelling) you catch a boat to Aqaba (over nite travel is good - very interesting trip with the locals but on top there is a reserved tourist section where locals are not permitted). You will arrive 10 minutes out from the township. You can hire a car and drop off in Amman. But the local bus way is great. Its about 2 dinar to Petra and 4 dinner to Amman.
You can arrange for taxi trip with others from Petra to Amman via the Dead Sea, Mt Nebo. Go to Amman and do a trip on a local bus to Jerash.
