hi i visited the blue lake last year while touring around with friends the problem is i do not know exactly how to find it again, can you give me the name of the nearest village or town and any other directions that could be useful, we stayed a few nights at pont st martin it was our first visit from scotland, regards george mc ewan

There are a number of minor small lakes named "Lago Blu" for their waters color. These require hours of hiking to be reached though, and if you went by Lago Blu by car I assume we should refer to the lake near Breuil - Cervinia, into which the Cervino (Matterhorn) peak gets reflected. From Chatillon drive north through Valtournenche and proceed, the lake is just 1 km before Breuil.

Funny, also we saw a few years ago a blue lake ( look at our travelpage ), I think it was a bit before Courmayeur.
