Hi. I'm off to Whistler in mid december for the 2006/2007 season, and so of course I'm going to need to buy some skis. Is it likely to cost more to buy skis in Whistler or in the UK? What are the cost differences likely to be? I'd be grateful for any useful advice on this.

try buying them here in van if you can, much cheaper than the uk and even whistler

Interesting. I'm flying into Vancouver, so if an opportunity emerges I shall buy them there. But skis are definitely cheaper in Whistler than in the UK are they?

yup, if you are gonna buy in whistler, try somewhere like comor as opposed to mom and pop places for best prices

Depends on what level skier you are and the type of ski's you want to buy. But if you are looking for just decent quality ski's at a decent price I would definitely buy in Vancouver. Quite a few places like comor, mad dog sports, sportmart or sportchek
