I am after any ideas on how to best get from Ålborg to Helsinki, Finland?
I haven't been able to find any direct flights, but any form of travel that is reasonably quick and easy (ie. don't need to change transportation 10 times on the way) would do. How would this journey be with a car? Is it doable?
Please help me with this dilemma.....Many thanks!

you can fly to tirstup airport from helsinki.
tirstrup airport is in between aarhus and aalborg.

Or indeed drive to Frederikshavn, then hop on the ferry to Gothenburg/Göteborg and from there, drive to Stockholm (or Kapellskär just north of it).

Ah, Tirstup sounds good! Is that a direct flight? How far is it from Ålborg?
What comes to distances & times, how long are the journeys:
Ålborg-Frederikshavn by car and the ferry Frederikshavn-Göteborg?
I believe there's a direct flight from Göteborg to Hki.

i just checked their page and they are not flying to tirstrup from helsinki, but to billund a little further south.
it´s a direct flight.
from billund it´s about 2 hours drive to ålborg.

if you end up flying to copenhagen instead, then the budget carrier sterling just started flights from copenhagen to ålborg.

Frederikshavn to Göteborg is 3 hrs 15 minutes by slow ferry and around 2,5 by catamaran I think.
