I'm planning to travel from Shanghai to Hangzhou and return to Shanghai for my return flight home. Is it easy to catch the bus? Where is the best place to do this in Shanghai and Hangzhou? I was also thinking of staying at the Ramada Plaza Haihua (298 Qing Chun road), any thoughts on it? Or any better suggestions? thanks...

Bus or train no problem. For Hangzhou best would be Hyatt along the West lake, however be prepared to pay Yuan 1800 per night.Stroll along Westlake and go on a boatride.Visit the village famous for Rung Chin Cha(tea)

Ramada Plaza Haihua is OK, just at the lake bank, very good location.
for transportation, I recommend train. lots of train run between hz and sh. and takes 1.5~2 hr.

Do you also know that you can catch a CAAC bus directly from Hangzhou downtown to Shanghai Pudong airport? That should be more convenient than returning to Shanghai (BTW, train is recommended over the bus) and then heading out to the airport again.
If you want a good lake-view room, the Overseas Chinese Hotel is quite good. What's your budget like?
