Sorong hotels in Sorong

Has anyone been to Sorong and stayed there in a hotel or guesthouse. it needs to have western toilets and hot/cold shower. If the hotel also has a restaurant that would be cool, but is not necessary.

I'd love to hear from you. Greetings from Cairns,Australia

Hello Auta,

thank you for your reply. Yes, I have come across that website as well, but I was hoping that somebody has actually been to Sorong. None of the hotels in Sorong have their own website, so it's a little difficult to get in touch with them, and making a phone call from Australia to West Papua is not always sucessful :-)) , believe me, I have done it before.
Regards from Cairns, Sybille

Stayed at three different hotels (Indah, Batanta, 88) but they were all in the budget category so may not suit you.
I never needed hot showers there, remember it is a tropical place where you will actually refresh a cooler shower (the water will never be really cold).
Don't worry too much about booking in advance as you will surely find something once there. There are many hotels in Sorong.
You may also want to have a look at my Papua page for more info on the area.
