Playa del Carmen Need Some Info

We are heading to the Riviera Maya in last week of October. Does anyone know what kind of weather we should be expecting. We are staying at the El Dorado resort and spa, if anyone has stayed there could they possible share there experience.

Hi! I was there last October for 7 days and it was HOT and sunny all the time. A few days after I left, Hurricane Wilma brought havoc to the area. So it's unpredictable during hurricane season.
I don't know the El Dorado. In Tulum, I got carried away with the laid-back concept and rented a cabana with palm-leaves roof, and a hamac. Thank god management had given me a candle to watch for bugs and write about la mala noche in my diary! It got freezing cold after midnight, the hamac smelled foul so I only sat on it. I didn't sleep a wink.
The Hostel in Cancun was fine though, and friendly. I don't go to resorts but all those I saw along the coast looked okay.
Maybe someone who knows the El Dorado will be able to share their experience of it. Have fun!

Just got back from PDC yesterday. It's hot, hot, hot!!! And humid! It's sunny in the AM and starts to cloud over a bit after noon (actually, I found it quite a relief to be out of the direct sun!), and it rains every day sometime between 2:00 and 5:00 for about 30 minutes or so and then the sun comes out again.

Sure is nice to get out of that sun! :) I live in Veracruz Puerto and we don't even get the rain (except in the middle of the night)
I went apartment-hunting in Mexico City last week, cool mornings and evenings, nice days, a bit overcast but pleasant.
Back in Veracruz for 4 days now, nothing but blue skies, hot hot sun. Kind of nice to come home to :)
