Can someone advise me of the quickest/at reasonable cost way to get from rijeka airport to opatija late at night around 22.00hrs

Rijeka airport should be on Krk Island if my memory serves me well. I'd suggest to spend some days on that island if you have time.
From Krk Island there are several buses to Rijeka every day.

Buses that meet arriving flights in front of airport building will take you to Rijeka city bus station (Zabica). From there to Opatija take either city bus or taxi.

i got a taxi last week and it cost 400 kuna ,about £40 GBP or 27 euro,i was advised to get the bus into riejka but this can be a torturous journey ,the taxi took an hour and he drove like a lunatic
if you are travelling light and alone go for the buses but dont expect any speed regards montana32
